Aucor Property to host large scale commercial property auction Aucor Property will host another large scale multiple commercial property auction on the Thursday the 13th of November 2014 at 12h00 at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton. The auction which features 31 lots of commercial, industrial, retail and residential offerings will see over R400 million worth of property come under the hammer on the day. Jonathan Aitken, Business Development Executive for Aucor Property comments, "2014 has been an incredible year and we have seen some large scale sales to date both in terms of number of properties that we have sold as well as the overall prices that we as a team have been able to achieve. Our November auction event promises to be no different with some excellent opportunities coming to the podium." Included in the line-up on the day is a property which has drawn massive interest to date. This landmark CBD office block in Marshalls Town Johannesburg was once home to Anglo Vaal and is in the heart of the mining district. Aitken continues "56 Main Street is well positioned in what is commonly referred to as the West City Improvement District. The area is home to many great iconic mining brands including Anglo American and the Chamber of Mines. The area has been completely rejuvenated with buildings in the area being turned into modern and well maintained offices and the surrounding streets being converted into bustling pedestrian walkways." This 10 storey building is in good condition and has a GLA of 10 065m2 with a combination of both cubicle and open plan office space across the various floors. With an interesting H shape configuration the central area of the building hosts the lifts and stairwells as well as ablution facilities with the office branching off on either side.
